Authorities said they received 911 calls about a car going the wrong way on California 134. Richie’s pal Paris Hilton was charged with a similar offense in September.

A source told the British tabloid that Lopez, 37, and Anthony, 38, who married in 2004, have researched orphanages in Puerto Rico. The source said the couple ” have decided the best place to look is Puerto Rico as Jen and Marc’s parents were both born there.”
Britney Spears plans to auction her wedding dress for charity, Skynews’com’s Neil Sean reports. A source with the pop star’s record label said Spears knows the dress “holds no more romantic illusions for her, and the profits could go to the foundation she has set up.”
Mezzo-soprano Martha Lipton, who shared the role of Augusta Tabor in Central City Opera’s 1956 world premiere of “The Ballad of Baby Doe,” has died. She was 93. Lipton played in more than 400 performances during her 17-year association with New York City’s Metropolitan Opera. Lipton was a professor emeritus at Indiana University, where she joined the voice faculty in 1960.

Diana Krall and Elvis Costello welcomed twin sons Wednesday, People magazine reports. Dexter Henry Lorcan and Frank Harlan James were born in New York, a rep confirmed. The babies were a third-anniversary present for Krall, 42, and Costello, 52, who wed in London on Dec. 5, 2003.
