INDIANAPOLIS-

The Indianapolis International Airport plans to offer a valet parking for air travelers who are running late, have a lot of luggage or just don’t want to deal with the hassles of parking.

People will be able to drive up to a curb between the terminal and the parking garage and give their keys to a valet, who will take their car to either short-term or long-term parking, according to The Indianapolis Star.

For long-term parking, the valet service costs $22 a day. Short-term parking costs $8 for the first hour and $2 for each additional 30 minutes using the service.

When travelers return, they can use their cell phones to call the service and their cars will be waiting for them at the curb.

“It’s a high-end convenience, but to some travelers it makes total sense because it’s a time-saver,” said Aaron Shocket, president of Parking Solutions, the Ohio company that will run the service.

Shocket expects the service to handle about 50 to 100 cars per day after six months.
