DENVER – An airline worker whose leg was broken after an airplane ran him over remains in the hospital, and his condition is stable and improving.
Frontier Airlines ramp agent Chris Annesley, 41, slipped on ice Dec. 3 at Denver International Airport, and the nose gear of an airplane ran over his leg.
“He is doing much better,” said Joe Hodas, a Frontier spokesman.
Frontier has set up a volunteer system for co-workers who want to help their colleague, Hodas said. So far, fellow employees have donated blood and a group will supply meals for Annesley and his family after he’s released from the hospital.
“The volume of the outpouring by our employees has been tremendous,” Hodas said.
Annesley, whose injuries are covered by workers’ compensation, will likely remain in the hospital for another week or two, Hodas said.
