Jennifer Aniston apparently is “too famous” to land a guest-starring role on the Fox drama “24.” TV Guide reports Aniston, a fan of the Kiefer Sutherland series, was turned down by show producers. Executive producer Joel Surnow said, “You can’t put those people on (the show) because they’re too recognizable. They’ll take (viewers) out of the reality.”

Why is everybody picking on Jessica Simpson? Entertainment website popsugar.com claims lines had to be fed to Simpson via an earpiece during shooting of the romantic comedy “Blonde Ambition” with Luke Wilson. A source told popsugar: “After the seventh take … the director hid a microphone in her ear so a crew member could feed her lines. Everyone was embarrassed for her, but she laughed it off, saying, ‘I’m sorry everyone. I’m sorry.”‘

Sarah Ferguson made a harmless remark saying she’d love to be on “Dancing With the Stars.” Now the ABC show is denying quotes from a producer that the duchess of York has been cast. London’s Daily Express quoted producer Conrad Green saying, “Fergie will add a touch of class to the proceedings and the fans will be waiting to see if she falls for her dance partner. Everyone loves a royal romance and her presence will bring dazzling ratings.” A rep for “Dancing With the Stars” told MSNBC.com, “the quote attributed is completely fabricated.”

An Argentine man’s claims he and first daughter Jenna Bush are dating apparently are wishful thinking. First lady Laura Bush’s press secretary, Susan D. Whitson, scoffed at a report in Argentine magazine Caras, telling People magazine: “We have found that young men who talk to the press and claim to be the boyfriend of Barbara or Jenna are just expressing wishful thoughts.” Public relations student Ramiro Gonzalez Palazzo, 25, told Caras he and Jenna planned to spend Christmas together and described the Bush twin as “humble and down-to-earth.”
