ADAMS COUNTY – A Thornton man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder for allegedly hitting a 25-year-old man with a van, police said.

Laron Brown, 28, is accused of backing out of a driveway at the Riverdale Mobile Home Park in the 8500 block of Madison Court Friday night and hitting the victim’s vehicle with a van, Adams County sheriff’s officials said in a news release.

The victim attempted to block Brown and the van from leaving after the accident, police said.

Brown got out of the van, started arguing with the victim, got back into his van and intentionally hit the man and drove away, police investigators said.

On Saturday, a witness called the victim’s family and told them that the van was in the 2100 block of Coronado Parkway.

Adams County deputies said they found the van, along with Brown and 18-year-old Alecia Robinson, who police say was a passenger at the time of the assault. Robinson was arrested on an outstanding warrant, police said.

Robinson and Brown were taken to the Adams County Jail.

The condition of the victim and his name were not made available on Sunday.
