Be wary of jumping on a hot player this time of year when a matchup was the reason the player performed so well. A case in point is Packers running back Vernand Morency, who rushed seven times for 54 yards and two touchdowns Sunday against the Lions. Detroit has been one of the most generous opponents this season for fantasy points against, and Green Bay faces Minnesota next week. The Vikings have one of the stingiest run defenses, so Morency will probably go back to fantasy obscurity.
If desperate for a quarterback during week 16, pay attention to the starting job at Tampa Bay. Tim Rattay performed decently in relief against a tough Bears defense, and faces the Cleveland defense next week that made Baltimore forget why Kyle Boller is now the backup.
