In British Commonwealth countries, Dec. 26 is Boxing Day, an official holiday commemorating the tradition among the gentry of giving gift boxes to servants and employees on the day after Christmas. During Clubhouse Capers time at the Children’s Museum, kids are encouraged to bring nonperishable items for Food Bank of the Rockies and decorate their own box for collecting donations.

Go ahead, make fun of the suburbs. But this week is your last local chance to see Fantôme Afrique, British artist Isaac Julien’s three-screen musing on art and culture in Burkina Faso. The film runs in a continuous 17-minute loop on the gallery walls. It received its U.S. premiere at the Lab, which co-commissioned the film with the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Ellipse Foundation in Lisbon.
