Air Force Academy – Alecia Steele scored a career-high 26 points to pace Air Force and the Falcons snapped a four- game losing streak after rallying in the second half to defeat Weber State 78-73 on Saturday at Clune Arena.

Weber State (5-8) jumped to an 18-5 lead. Air Force (4-7) trailed by as many as 13 points in the second half, then went on a 13-0 run to tie the score at 48.

Steele, who finished 10-of-11 from the field, also tied a career high with 13 rebounds. It was her fourth double-double of the season and 10th in her career. Jamie Davis added 14 points for Air Force. Pamela Findlay scored 13.

Chelsey Warburton led Weber State with 23 points.

REGIS 84, LOYOLA-NEW ORLEANS 68 at Kansas City, Mo.: Denise Lopez scored 23 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished seven assists to lead Regis (7-3) over Loyola-New Orleans in the opening game of the Jesuit Classic at Rockhurst University.

It was Regis’ fifth consecutive victory. Paulina Tuell added 22 points for the Rangers.

METRO ST. 88, NEB.-OMAHA 68: Cassondra Bratton’s 17 points led host Metro State (10-2) over Nebraska-Omaha (11-2) in the Christmas Classic at Auraria Events Center.

Rianna Harris added 16 for the Roadrunners. Karen Thies and Cayla Hargrove scored 14 points apiece for Nebraska-Omaha.

Texas Woman’s University (7-9) downed Adams State (3-9) 62-54 behind Margaret Wimbish’s 16 points. Ashley Chambers led the Grizzlies with 22 points.

COLORADO MINES 62, KANSAS WESLEYAN 58, at Golden: Iva Tomova scored 17 points and the Orediggers (5-6) held off a late charge by Kansas Wesleyan (5-10) in the Colorado School of Mines Classic at Volk Gym.

In the other game, Colorado-Colorado Springs (2-8) cruised past Biola University (5-6) 65-54 behind Tonya Tripp’s 15 points.
