Sterling contribution
The city of Sterling has agreed to lease 188 acres of prime South Platte River bottom habitat to the Division of Wildlife for inclusion to the Bravo State Wildlife Area. The city acquired the land about two years ago; the lease will cover a period of 25 years.
Also, Sterling plans to work with Ducks Unlimited to develop seasonal wetlands on other crop and pasture land it owns adjacent to the river.
