At Darrent Williams’ funeral last week, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen looked at the cornerback’s mother and offered reassurance.
“Bringing the perpetrators to justice is my No. 1 goal right now,” Bowlen said to Rosalind Williams while speaking at the Great Commission Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
On Wednesday, Bowlen proved his testimony wasn’t empty words as he and other members of the Broncos’ organization reached into their pockets to offer a $100,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and murder charges against those involved in Williams’ killing.
The reward is posted through the Denver Police Department’s Crime Stoppers program, which can be contacted by calling 720-913-STOP (7867).
With the previous posted reward at $2,000, the Broncos felt they needed to bolster the enticement for people to step forward with information regarding Williams’ murder on the morning of New Year’s Day.
