Getting your player ready...

After several years at the popular Breckenridge Brewery, new Motherloaded Tavern owner Chmurny Cain decided to take a “leap of faith” about two months ago, placing her destiny in, among other things, fried Twinkies. Cain and company moved into the former St. Bernard Inn space at the corner of Lincoln and Main in Breckenridge, replacing the former landmark establishment with a funky and fun family restaurant. With the aim of creating something “in tribute to mothers, grandmothers and families in gratitude for all they did and sacrificed,” the Motherloaded is chock-full of items that connect its owners with their families and past, including mom’s home-cooked comfort food made from traditional recipes. The menu breaks down as snacks, side roads, rabbit food, in bread (sandwiches), burgers (eight half-pound black angus options), and comforts (a less fancy name for entrees). There’s an appropriately priced kids menu, too. Oh, and if you don’t like Twinkies, don’t worry. They have Rice Krispies Treats.
