Getting faces right: It’s a snap

Fujifilm’s FinePix F40fd digital camera improves your chances of making everyone look good in group shots. Equipped with face detection technology, the camera can detect up to 10 human faces in as little as 1/20th of a second and then automatically set the exposure and focus to put everyone in the best light. When you review the photo, the camera can be set to automatically zoom in on each face, so you can quickly see whether anyone shut his eyes or forgot to smile. The 8.3-megapixel digital camera works with both xD-Picture Card and Secure Digital memory cards. It will go on sale in March for $300. www.fujifilmusa.com
