My favorite subjects: English and Latin.

My favorite athlete: Steve Nash. He’s so good at everything he does and is such a team player.

My favorite team: Wheaton (Ill.) College men’s basketball, where my brother Michael plays.

What I listen to: All sorts. My favorite is rock, with some classical.

The best thing on my training table: My mom’s cooking.

Pregame ritual: I basically just go play. … In particular, a day before, I make sure to get a good night’s sleep and a good meal.

Time management tip: Be conscious of how you use time.

Planned career: Considering writing; in the long run, English professor; will attend Yale.

My family: Parents Dan and Carol, brother Michael, sister Kendra.

What I like most about high school sports: Probably just the emotion of it all – the relationships you develop with teammates and just during the games how intense it is and knowing you can rely on them.

What I like least about high school sports: It’s hard to focus for those games when you play teams you know you’re going to beat or should beat by quite a margin.
