The Canadian bacon, egg and cheese sammie made popular by the ubiquitous golden arches has become an American breakfast staple. It’s hard to find a morning deli that doesn’t offer some variation of the English muffined delicacy. It’s even harder to find one that does a better job than Joe’s Famous Deli in the Vail Village. Joe’s Egg McDeli delivers slabs of Canadian bacon and a fried egg drowning in a wedge of gooey cheese. Joe’s pocket-sized Powder Day Burrito with roasted potatoes and cheesy eggs is the perfect parka-and-belly warmer on cold days. The basement deli – across from Pazzo’s and underneath the Red Lion – serves up lightning quick sandwiches at prices that make it a local favorite.
