Police arrested three women in connection with the stabbings of a mother and daughter Tuesday afternoon outside Castro Elementary School in west Denver.

The victims were reportedly walking near the school in the 800 block of South Lowell Boulevard when a white Ford Taurus pulled up and several women got out and attacked them, Detective John White said. Authorities responded just after 4 p.m. and found the victims with multiple stab wounds along the fence line of the school. They were transported to Denver Health Medical Center and Swedish Medical Center, but their conditions were not available.

Investigators determined that attack was not random and that the suspects were known to the victims.

Police found the three suspects in a house in west Denver, White said.

The suspects were booked into jail for investigation of aggravated assault charges. Their identities were not available.
