
Lindsay Lohan has purchased a two-bedroom, ground-floor unit in the West Hollywood El Palacio Apartments where Marilyn Monroe once lived, In Touch Weekly reported. The purchase seems to confirm Lohan’s love for Monroe, who in the 1950s resided in the apartment complex believed to be part of Hollywood haunted history. In 1944, 23-year-old heiress Georgette Bauerdorf was strangled and found face-down in her bath at El Palacio. In 1965, African-American screen legend Dorothy Dandridge overdosed on barbituates there.
Singer-actress Rhonda Ross, daughter of Diana Ross and Motown founder Berry Gordy, is supplementing her income as a Manhattan real estate broker. Rhonda, 35, the inspiration for her mother’s hit song “Love Child,” earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for her “Another World” role. For now, Rhonda is hawking rentals, according to The Real Deal real estate magazine, including a five-bedroom duplex on the Upper West Side for $16,000 a month and a one-bedroom in Harlem $1,900.
Nicole Kidman reportedly romanced her country singer husband Keith Urban with Australian beeswax candles she had shipped to their Tennessee home for Valentine’s Day, Reuters reported. The Northern Lights candles made from beeswax and cosmetic- grade macadamia nut oil promise inner balance and harmony. Kidman bought a dozen of the $20 candles.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who own homes in New Orleans and Los Angeles, reportedly have bought a 6,500-square- foot home in the former East Berlin, according to the German edition of Vanity Fair. Jolie also owns a home in Paris. Pitt is friends with German architects Lars Krueckeberg, Wolfram Putz and Thomas Willemeit, who designed his home in Los Angeles.
