Wanker

If this were the U.K. the name might not go over so well, but here in Colorado it stands for ’80s-leaning pop-punk. Wanker will celebrate 20 years tonight at the Toad Tavern with Kelli*Said, A Melodic Daydream and Message in a Bottle. 5302 S. Federal Circle in Littleton. 8 p.m. $5.

Colder than Fargo

This bone-chilling name seems appropriate in light of recent weather. It’ll release its latest CD Saturday at the Larimer Lounge, with Deadbubbles, Januar, Action Figure 8 and Sonatine. 2721 Larimer St. 8 p.m. $8.

Red Cloud West

If you like your country-rock deliciously gnarled you’ll devour these guys, playing Saturday with Strangers Die Everyday and Nightshark. The Hi-Dive, 7 S. Broadway. 9 p.m. $7.

Nicole Torres & the Affiliates

This Denver-based folk-rocker leads a solid lineup that includes Zebra Junction and Remember May. Want to know what a “live art duel” is? Show up Saturday at The Walnut Room, 3131 Walnut St. 9 p.m. $6.
