Former co-star Mario Cantone (Charlotte’s gay friend Anthony) told the Melbourne Herald Sun a script is being written and filming could begin this year in New York. The comedy ran six seasons on HBO, ending in 2004, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. Cantone noted: “I know the script is being written, and I know it will be brilliant because Michael Patrick King is writing it.” King was a writer, director and executive producer for the series.
Speaking of Davis, the Charlotte portrayer is dating former Los Angeles Laker Rick Fox, In Touch magazine reported. The couple was spotted dining at Madeo in Beverly Hills. Fox, a budding actor appearing on the FX series “Dirt,” has one child with former wife, “Ugly Betty” co-star Vanessa Williams. A Fox friend confirmed the report.
Helen Mirren has been invited to Buckingham Palace for tea with Queen Elizabeth, the British monarch she portrays in her Oscar-nominated role in “The Queen.” Mirren, “Queen” director Stephen Frears and screenwriter Peter Morgan all were invited after the Feb. 25 Academy Awards, the Daily Mail reported. Mirren’s role, based on events following the death of Princess Diana in 1997, often shows the queen in a harsh light. Mirren is the frontrunner for the best-actress Oscar.
Howard Stern revealed on his Sirius Satellite radio show Wednesday he and longtime girlfriend, model Beth Ostrosky, are engaged. Stern, 53, said he proposed Tuesday night and asked Ostrosky, 34: “Do you want your Valentine’s Day gift now?” When Ostrosky said she wanted it, Stern ordered her to strip down. Stern gave the naked Ostrosky a 5-carat diamond ring. Stern and his first wife, Alison, divorced in 2001.
Tracy Morgan has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor DUI charges, stemming from a Nov. 28 arrest on suspicion of drunken driving. This was the second drunken-driving arrest for Morgan, who was sentenced to community service, supervised treatment by a doctor and ordered to stay out of legal trouble for six months, tmz.com reported. If the “30 Rock” co-star complies, he will pay a $1,000 fine and escape jail time.
Speaking of drinking: Alcoholics Anonymous group members are skeptical of Lindsay Lohan’s commitment to staying sober.
