An Aurora man was arrested Tuesday for strangling his dog after it bit him on the hand, police said.
Robert McDuff, 41, told Arapahoe County sheriff’s deputies that his 1-year-old boxer, Dempsey, had bitten him on the right hand, officials said.
So McDuff strangled the dog with its leash, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they found the dead dog in a plastic bag in McDuff’s garage in the 21200 block of East Lehigh Place.
McDuff was arrested and was being held in jail on $50,000 bail on investigation of aggravated cruelty to animals, a Class 6 felony.
