Community Shares’ chief executive, Jesse Wolff, accepted the prize at the National Workplace Giving Summit held in Orlando, Fla. … As part of its 20th-anniversary celebration, the Women’s Foundation of Colorado will salute 20 Colorado women who have broken new ground in male- dominated fields and serve as an inspiration to others. Nomination forms for the Be Bold awards can be downloaded at WFCO.org … Christopher Smith, executive director of the Boulder County AIDS Project, is giving kudos to the agency’s 300 volunteers, who gave 15,126 hours of service in 2006.

That the Cherry Tomato restaurant is celebrating its 10th birthday by donating a percentage of sales from March 13-17 to The Gathering Place; that Jenny Schiavone has been appointed director of communications for Denver’s Division of Theatres and Arenas. She has spent the past 11 years with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, most recently serving as senior public relations manager; that the newest members of Denver Mile High Rotary are Kurt Bartley, director of major gifts for Catholic Charities; Dennis Miceli, senior vice president at Willis Insurance; and David Moudy, a private banker at Wells Fargo; and that Saks Fifth Avenue is providing the clothes for the Summer Debutante Ball’s Mother-Daughter Luncheon & Fashion Show. It’s at the Marriott Denver South on March 11; Sheila Oldenburg, April Oldenburg, Angie Palmer and Janie Prendergast are the co-chairs.
