Heather Mills, preparing for the ABC reality series “Dancing With the Stars,” booked a top London dance studio but quit after just one day, the London Evening Standard reported. The estranged wife of Paul McCartney reserved secret practice sessions at Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden for a week. Mills’ last-second cancellation was a relief to some of the studio employees. Mills, 39, wanted the blinds always closed, fretted over security and insisted a staff member be on call. The studio charged Mills nearly $100 an hour for the week she booked.

More Mills: The former model, whose left leg was amputated below the knee after a police motorcycle struck her in 1993, discussed dancing with her prosthetic. Mills told “Extra”: “I’m quite happy to be thrown around, and hopefully my leg will stay on. It’s very unlikely my leg is going to fly off, although it would be quite funny. I’ll have a strap on, which I wouldn’t normally in everyday life.”

“Dancing With the Stars” returns March 19, but it’s already had one casualty. “Sopranos” actor Vincent Pastore dropped out on Wednesday. Pastore, 60, said in a statement: “I didn’t realize just how physically demanding it would be for me. Unable to put forth my best effort, I felt it appropriate to step aside and give someone else the opportunity.” At press time, no replacement had been named.

Hugh Grant, according to contact music.com, recalled the alphabet to describe his body type. “I’ve got rather fat – particularly on one side, weirdly. I don’t know why, but I seem to have developed one love handle. I was standing in front of the mirror and I realized I’m S-shaped!” Grant, 46, claims he’s making an “effort to get fit,” which has included doing sit-ups. “They put my back out so badly that I had to crawl to work every day after that.” Grant didn’t say what letter he’d like his body to look like.
