Colorado customers of Xcel Energy are likely to see lower bills next month because of Xcel’s cheaper fuel costs for electricity and heating.
Residential electric bills in April will drop by an average of $1.41 to $56.62; small-business bills will decline by $2.31 to $90.45.
Natural gas bills will go down because of cheaper gas prices and less home heating as temperatures rise. Residential gas bills will average $50.92 in April compared with $87.13 this month.
Small-business gas bills will decline from an average of $412 to $244.
Instant Cash bought by First Data Corp.
First Data Corp. announced Friday that it has acquired for an undisclosed price Instant Cash Services, a business currently owned by banking giant Wells Fargo.
First Data, the Greenwood Village-based payment processing company, already helps run Instant Cash and intends to continue operating it under its brand.
Instant Cash provides debit card and ATM payment processing services for more than 500 community banks, credit unions and non-financial institutions in 20 states.
