Editor’s note: Air Force senior forward Jacob Burtschi, from Chickasha, Okla., gives his impressions of the NIT. This is his first trip to New York. On Monday, the Falcons turned their attention to tonight’s opponent, Clemson.

New York is a big-time show with lots of life, lots of big buildings. It’s kind of overwhelming. It has been a lot of fun.

We’re already on day No. 3, and we haven’t played yet. We definitely want to get back on the court. That’s what we love doing, but we can’t get too anxious, because it might come back to hurt us (today). We’re taking it all in.

This place is unbelievable. It’s too big-time for me. I need a smaller-town setting. I’d like coming here for a couple of days. I would say that Adam Hood would love living in a place like this. He’s my roommate on the road. He likes the big show.

The NIT has done an unbelievable job with its hospitality. It has been first-class.
