Jon Bon Jovi signed a contract to buy a “trophy penthouse” at the New Museum building in New York for $26 million, the New York Post’s Braden Keil reported. The New Jersey rocker purchased the 10-room, 7,400-square-foot duplex loft for a half-million less than the asking price. The home for Bon Jovi, his wife, Dorothea, and their kids features six bedrooms, six baths plus two powder rooms, 12-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, three terraces (including a master-bedroom terrace), two kitchens, a gym and two wood-burning fireplaces.
Ann Curry has been sued for the fourth time over ongoing construction at her West 71st Street townhouse, the Post reports. Nick and Gino Presta, who own the building next to the “Today Show” and “Dateline” newswoman, claim that dangerous, unsafe, illegal work at Curry’s brownstone has put their tenants at risk and caused one 25-year tenant to move out after 12 months of jackhammering. A rep for Curry had no comment.
Howard Stern paid a record $1 million for his Southampton rental, the Post reports. Stern signed a contract for the oceanfront Meadow Lane home for a year, with an option for a second year. A real-estate insider said: “It’s the highest price ever paid for a Hamptons rental, even if it is for a year.” The 6,000-square-foot Norman Jaffe-designed contemporary home has six bedrooms and 6 1/2 baths on 4.4 acres, with 200 feet of beachfront and views of both the ocean and bay.
Jennifer Aniston is considering a return to New York City, Us Weekly reported. A pal said Aniston, 38, is “revisiting the Broadway idea.” Last October, Aniston performed in the one- night show “The 24 Hour Plays.”
