Britney Spears’ divorce reportedly cost her $13 million, according to Star magazine. Spears and her hubby Kevin Federline took a 15-minute smoke break before finalizing the split. Spears asked K-Fed: “Do you really want to do this?” K-Fed said yes, to which Spears replied: “You’re the biggest mistake I’ve ever made, but thank you for my babies.” The tabloid claims the 2004 prenuptial agreement allowed Federline $250,000 for each year of their marriage, but Spears upped the ante to $500,000 to speed negotiations. Federline also receives half the proceeds from their Malibu mansion, on the market for $13.5 million and gets custody of their sons four days a week. Federline is forbidden from writing a tell-all about their marriage.
Princes William and Harry want to make the memorial concert marking the 10th anniversary of their mother’s death a major event. The Daily Mirror reports Princess Diana’s two sons hope to lure several big names, including Elton John, Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, Paul McCartney, Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake to perform. A source said: “As far as they’re concerned, (McCartney) would be the icing on the cake. He’s been approached to do it and talks are still going on.”
Michael Jackson’s diva-like demands to appear on the “Dame Edna Experience” got him the boot from the British TV show. Skynews.com’s Neil Sean reports Jackson would appear as “the only guest on the show,” a source said. And he wanted “all the questions given to him in advance.” Michael Bolton was given the guest spot instead.
Melanie Brown gave birth to a baby girl at 12:11 a.m. Tuesday at St John’s Hospital in Santa Monica. The former Spice Girl claims the father is Eddie Murphy, whom she dated for about six months before they split in December. Murphy demanded a paternity test. The baby, still unnamed, may not share Murphy’s DNA, but it will share a birthday. Murphy turned 46 on Tuesday.

Another newswoman, Barbara Walters reportedly is dating Dr. Robert N. Butler, according to the New York Daily News. In 1976, Walters, now 77, refused to interview Butler about his book, “Love and Sex After 60” deeming the material “might not be appropriate for younger viewers.” Butler, 80, is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and gerontologist.
John Travolta had to make an emergency landing in his private jet Monday. Piloting his Boeing 707 from New York to Germany Travolta was forced to land in Ireland after his plane experienced technical difficulties. No one was injured, according to Internet reports.
Ben Kingsley is an optimistic sort when it comes to marriage. Despite the humiliation of finding Internet pictures of his third wife Alexandra Christmann embracing another man in Berlin, Kingsley, 63, said he is ready to marry actress Daniela Barbosa, 32. Just three months after his divorce from Christmann, Kingsley admitted on the red carpet at a recent Hollywood premiere, “Marriage is going to happen, but I don’t know when. I call her my fiancée because she is.”
