The Colorado Mammoth (11-3), leader in the West Division of the National Lacrosse League, will begin postseason play April 21 with a 7 p.m. game at the Pepsi Center. Four teams in each division qualify for the playoffs.
The Mammoth’s matchup likely won’t be set until the NLL season ends Saturday. Colorado faces the San Jose Stealth in a home-and-home series Thursday at the Pepsi Center and Friday in San Jose, Calif.
Eagles lose to Youngstown in CHL playoffs
Chris Richards scored a goal and added three assists to lead the Youngstown SteelHounds of the Central Hockey League to a 6-3 victory over the visiting Colorado Eagles in a first-round playoff game. Colorado leads the best-of-seven series 3-2 and will meet Youngstown in Game 6 on Tuesday at Budweiser Events Center in Loveland.
14ers lose NBADL road game
The Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League earned a 114-103 home-court victory over the Colorado 14ers. Idaho leads Colorado in the Western Division standings by two games.
