FORT CARSON, Colo.-
Two soldiers from Fort Carson were killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad, the military said Monday.
Pfc. Walter Freeman Jr., 20, of Lancaster, Calif., and Pfc. Derek A. Gibson, 20, of Eustis, Fla., were killed on Wednesday, the military said.
Both were assigned to Fort Carson’s 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division.
At least 192 soldiers from the post near Colorado Springs have died in Iraq since the invasion four years ago.
