Efficiency equals value
A recent study by the conservation organization Galvin Electricity Initiative concluded that by 2010 the home-improvement market will be dominated by smarter, more-automated energy-saving technologies. Among the products now available that Galvin recommends to decrease home-energy use: programmable thermostats and lighting switches; home energy-control systems, many of which are Internet-based; and on-site energy-storage units. Women’s financial freedom
Today is the deadline to register for the Third Financial Stewardship and Empowerment Conference, hosted by the nonprofit Single Mothers of Color, or SMOC.
