GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-

The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports that Grand Junction High School Athletics Director John Walker has been put on administrative leave, pending an investigation.

The newspaper reported that Mesa School District spokesman Jeff Kirtland said the longtime athletics director was placed on leave April 4th. Kirtland declined to provide further information.

The school’s principal, Kevin Schott, announced earlier this week that he was resigning. Kirtland said that was not related to Walker’s case.
