Rep. Doug Lamborn started his reelection bid by raising $75,000 in the first quarter of this year.

One of two new House members from Colorado, Lamborn, R-Colorado Springs, finished the period with $50,000 on hand. He spent nearly $1 million in the 2006 race to win his seat.

In this cycle ending March 31, Lamborn took in $25,000 in contributions from individuals and $50,000 from political action committees.

Biggest contributors who each gave $5,000 included the political action committee for the American Bankers Association, the National Association of Realtors, the Committee for the Preservation of Capitalism, and Republican leader Rep. John Boehner of Ohio’s PAC, the Freedom Project, each of whom gave $5,000.

The PAC of drug giant Pfizer gave $1,000 as did the PAC of Exxon Mobil Corp. The National Rifle Association PAC gave $2,500.

Individual contributors giving the highest amount included Carole Bogosian and Mark Bogosian of Colorado Springs, each of whom gave $2,100. Mark Bogosian lists himself as a private consultant and Carole Bogosian put her occupation as investor.

David Neuman, chief executive officer of Direct Energy Solutions, gave $2,000. Herbert Burnham, who works at Focus on the Family, gave $250.
