A meeting to seek a conditional use permit to establish a public shooting range on Park County property south of Fairplay will be 9 a.m. May 8 at the County Commissioners Board Room, 501 E. Main St. in Fairplay. Some 3 1/2 years in planning, the range would provide a place for controlled target shooting in the wake of closures of informal ranges in the region.
