BOULDER, Colo.-
A choice of 40 sandwiches may not seem like much of a substitute for three-point-two beer and legendary musicians, but that’s what is happening to the former location of Tulagi’s in Boulder.
Miles Davis, the Eagles, Bonnie Raitt and many others played between 1947 when Tulagi’s opened on University Hill and 2003 when it was seized by tax collectors.
Efforts to install another music business failed and the site has been vacant for nearly four years.
A sandwich shop, Which Wich, will use half the space in the former bar. The other remains vacant.
The U.S.-S Tulagi was an escort class carrier in World War II.
