Colorado Trout Unlimited has honored members of two prominent conservation organizations with its annual Trout Conservation Award.
Dennis Buechler of the Colorado Wildlife Federation, who is a new appointee to the Colorado Wildlife Commission, and Bob Elderkin of the Colorado Mule Deer Association were honored for their efforts in developing management guidelines for oil and gas development in western Colorado that has been endorsed by more than 60 sportsmen and environmental groups and local governments.
