The former Baptist minister tried to set up a meeting last weekend with Spears, the source said. Jessica’s rep Cindi Berger denies the report. Spears has made more than $100 million from records and endorsements, while sales of Jessica’s five albums have not approached those numbers. Meanwhile, In Touch magazine reports Spears, just out of an alcohol rehab stint, was seen tossing back “glasses of wine” at a friend’s Beverly Hills condo April 14. Spears also allegedly was spotted drinking more wine a day later and sake at Japanese restaurant Shu Sushi.

Elizabeth Rodriguez told the British magazine, “Mel asked me to come along because she knew I had an interest in voodoo and could speak Spanish to help her communicate with Tabitha.”
Jonathan Rhys Meyers, in the middle of shooting for the Showtime series “The Tudors,” has checked himself into an undisclosed rehab facility. His rep said Meyers is seeking treatment for alcohol abuse, E Online reported. Showtime already has ordered a second season of the series in which Meyers portrays British King Henry VIII after the April 1 premiere drew record numbers for the cable network. It is unclear if Meyers’ rehab stint would delay second-season filming in Dublin next month.
Kirsten Dunst told Jane magazine for its May issue: “I don’t ever want to date another actor again. This quote is probably going to come back in my face, but I know someone who has a great saying: ‘There are no actors, there are only actresses.’ Sometimes creative people can be very dark and destructive.” Dunst is dating British rocker Johnny Borrell of Razorlight.
Spinal Tap, the band from the 1984 mockumentary “This Is Spinal Tap,” will reunite for a London performance at the Live Earth concert July 7. One song on Paul McCartney’s new album has a thinly veiled dig at his estranged wife, Heather Mills, the Sun reported. One verse on “Mr. Bellamy” goes: “No one to tell me what to do, no one to hold my hand. … Nobody here to spoil the view, interfere with my plans.” The lyrics could kill Mills’ buzz from her run on “Dancing With the Stars.” She was eliminated from the ABC reality series, but was a fan favorite because she performed with one prosthetic leg. Mills lost her leg when she was hit by a police motorcycle in 1993.
