Jackson, Wyo. – Jackson Hole Airport is one of at least three Wyoming destinations seeking air service from Frontier Airlines.

Last year, Frontier said it planned to expand its Denver-based network into more small cities in the West. Airports in Cody, Jackson and Sheridan all expressed interest in being Frontier destinations.

Earlier this week, a Colorado newspaper reported that Frontier had narrowed its list of potential destinations from 60 to 30, but Frontier spokesman Joe Hodas denied that report.

Hodas also said Jackson is still being considered as a Frontier destination.

“Absolutely,” he said. “Jackson Hole is a premier ski destination. It is certainly one of the markets we’re considering.” Hodas said he expected the airline to make a decision about new destinations within the next month.
