The Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League scored three second-period goals Sunday en route to a 4-2 victory over the Memphis RiverKings in the second game of the Northern Conference finals at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland.
The series is tied 1-1 as it moves to Memphis for three games starting Wednesday.
Brad Williamson assisted on all four goals as the Eagles rallied from a 2-0 deficit. Aaron Schneekloth’s goal with 0.5 seconds remaining in the second period proved the game-winner. Tim Boron stopped 31-of-33 shots in goal for Colorado.
Creighton crushes Northern Colorado
Creighton scored 10 runs in the first inning and cruised to a season-high 11th straight baseball victory, beating Northern Colorado 17-6 in Omaha.
The Bluejays sent 14 batters to the plate in the opening inning, chasing UNC starter Jason Banks after seven runs and just one out.
Northern Colorado rallied in the fourth inning, scoring four runs to make the score 10-4. But the Bluejays (30-11) pulled away with a run in the fourth and three runs each in the sixth and eighth innings.
UNC (10-26) was led by Adam Symons, who had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs.
