George allegedly saw the model’s ad on the British website Gaydar. The model, who denies he is an escort, said George and another man handcuffed him to a hook on the wall. George pulled out some leather whips and sex toys and said, “Now you’ll get what you deserve!” The model escaped at 6:30 a.m. and called police. George was charged with false imprisonment and common assault and released on bail.

Jessica Simpson accidentally ran over her boyfriend John Mayer’s video game while backing out of their Santa Barbara, Calif., driveway. According to the National Enquirer, Mayer dropped his duffel bag in the driveway and went back in the house to retrieve something. Simpson, unaware of the bag, backed over it, destroying the limited-edition video game console he had received as a gift during his Japan tour. Simpson will be able to buy Mayer another console when it gets on the market. She agreed to host a Pussycat Dolls event at Pure nightclub Thursday in Las Vegas and will pocket $250,000 for the gig, janetcharltonshollywood.com reported.

Britney Spears performed a 14-minute set late Tuesday night in San Diego. Donning a black wig and and white pleated miniskirt, Spears took the House of Blues stage and lip-synced her hits “… Baby One More Time,” “Do Somethin’,” “I’m a Slave 4 U,” “Breathe on Me” and “Toxic,” People magazine’s website reported. TMZ.com also posted a video of the performance. Spears’ last major performance came in June 2004 in Dublin, Ireland. Her Onyx Hotel Tour was cut short when she injured her knee. Spears planned other shows this week at House of Blues in Anaheim, Calif., Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Neve Campbellis slated to marry British actor John Light of the Royal Shakespeare Company at a secret Malibu, Calif., location Saturday. The “Party of Five” actress moved to London two years ago to live with Light.
