BOULDER, Colo.-
A Louisville couple whose 10-week-old son died after suffering 28 broken bones turned themselves in Tuesday.
A grand jury indicted Alex Midyette on four counts of child abuse resulting in death, while Molly Midyette faces three counts of child abuse resulting in death.
They are scheduled in court at 1 p.m. Wednesday, said Rob McCallum of the Office of the State Court Administrator.
According to police, Jason Midyette was taken to the doctor’s office by his parents who complained the baby was not himself. He died 10 days later on March 3, 2006.
The baby had suffered more than two dozen broken bones, including a fractured skull.
A brittle-bone medical condition was ruled out by the Boulder County coroner, who in July ruled the death a homicide.
The Midyettes had an unlisted phone number.
