FORT CARSON, Colo.-
A soldier assigned to the military police battalion at Fort Carson died Thursday after being shot with small arms fire in Diwaniyah, Iraq, the Pentagon announced Friday.
Pfc. Roy L. Jones III, 21, of Houston, was assigned to the 984th Military Police Company, 759th Military Police Battalion.
At least 201 soldiers from Fort Carson have died since the war began in March 2003.
