BOULDER, Colo.-
Former Wyoming coach Steve McClain is among three assistants hired by new basketball coach Jeff Bzdelik at the University of Colorado.
Bzdelik also added Charles Baker, who spent six years under former Kansas State coach Jim Wooldridge, and Derrick Clark, who spent the last two seasons with Bzdelik at Air Force
McClain, 44, was fired at Wyoming this offseason after posting a 157-115 mark in nine seasons.
“To have someone like Steve McClain with his successful background as a head coach is a real asset to the University of Colorado,” Bzdelik said. “He brings energy, experience, leadership and knowledge.”
Also joining the staff as director of basketball operations is Jody Bailey, who worked for Bzdelik last season, when the Falcons went to the NIT Final Four.
