A Fort Collins man was arrested today on suspicion of stealing more than 1,300 panties, bras and hosiery from laundry rooms in various apartment complexes.
Fort Collins police arrested Chih Hsien Wu, 43, on suspicion of stealing more than $6,000 worth of women’s undergarments between September 2006 and last weekend.
He was arrested without incident at his residence in the 1000 block of Wabash Street. He faces a possible felony theft charge.
The thefts took place at laundry rooms within apartment complexes mostly in the Campus West area of Fort Collins, police said.
Those who have experienced thefts from laundry rooms of undergarments of all types – including panties, sports bras, stretch pants and panty hose – are urged to come to the police station and identify their items on Friday, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
