Getting your player ready...

Ever wonder, as you’re breathing like a locomotive on a high-altitude trail, just how those trails stay so smooth and clear? It probably has something to do with the more than 1 million volunteers who have given a little back on National Trails Day. The 15th annual nationwide trail- hugging celebration arrives Saturday with 24 projects across Colorado. Included are trail construction in Boulder County Open Space, celebrations in Aurora and Arvada, trail work on Grays and Torreys with the Colorado 14ers Initiative, forest restoration in Dillon and kite flying in Divide. To name a few.

Do it — Click over to www.americanhiking.org and find a Colorado trail to love.
