EVERGREEN, Colo.-
A small plane made an emergency landing Monday in a field at an open space park.
No one was injured.
The two people on board were able to walk away from the plane and all the green grass and vegetation at Elk Meadow Park because of recent moisture probably helped ease the impact of the landing, said Cindy McCormick, communications supervisor for Evergreen Fire and Rescue.
The pilot said the plane had mechanical problems and he had considered landing at a nearby golf course before settling on the open field, McCormick said.
