Getting your player ready...

Behind a terrific outing from starter Jeff Francis, the Rockies thumped the St. Louis Cardinals 6-2 today, running their winning streak to six games.

It’s the longest streak since May 2002. Francis worked 7 2/3 innings, allowing just two runs on So Taguchi’s eighth-inning home run. Francis has won three consecutive decisions.

The Rockies took a 1-0 lead on Matt Holliday’s first-inning home run. They broke the game open with a three-run seventh that featured Brad Hawpe’s 382-foot blast to left field. Rodrigo Lopez returns to the rotation tomorrow after being out since April 18 with an elbow injury.
