The Colorado Avalanche have signed two forwards to new contracts—Ben Guite for two years and Cody McCormick for one.
Guite, 28, spent the second half of last season in Colorado after starting the year with Albany of the American Hockey League.
The Montreal native tallied three goals and eight assists in 39 games for the Avs. He appeared in all but one of Colorado’s last 37 games after being recalled Jan. 26.
McCormick was Colorado’s fifth pick in the 2001 NHL entry draft. The 24-year-old London, Ontario, native appeared in six games with the Avs before he was reassigned to Albany in December.
