Youth in its glory
For Taylor Alexandra Adams, Elise Jean Woodruff and the 68 others who were either debutantes or Young Men of Distinction, Saturday night’s Le Bal de Ballet lived up to its billing of being a Magical Journey. Their adventure began last Sept. 10 when they were introduced for the first time at a reception held at Denver Country Club. In the months that followed, they participated in activities that included a Protocol Dinner, parent-sponsored casino party, holiday brunch, father-son supper, family dinner-dance, skating party, mother-daughter tea and curtsy rehearsal – get-togethers that helped the 70 high school seniors form lasting bonds, learn the social graces and prepare for the grand finale: their formal introduction onstage at Boettcher Concert Hall.
Fun generates funds
Clinica Tepeyac’s 13th Fiesta on the Plaza was a grand occasion with hundreds of supporters gathering at Belmar Events Center for dinner, awards and entertainment – and to celebrate Clinica’s move to expanded quarters in the Globeville neighborhood.
