The recently named 2008 U.S. Alpine Ski Team includes the return of three standout Colorado athletes. Three-time Olympians Sarah Schleper of Vail and Caroline Lalive of Steamboat Springs return to the women’s Alpine A Team after skipping the 2007 season because of injuries. They join world championship medalist Lindsey Kildow of Vail as team veterans on this winter’s World Cup tour.

“These returnees are all proven World Cup contenders,” U.S. alpine director Jesse Hunt said.

Jake Zamansky is the only Colorado skier named to the men’s team. The Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club racer was named to the men’s B Team, and Julia Littman of Ski and Snowboard Club Vail earned a spot on the women’s C Team. Kristen Cooper of Breckenridge and Team Summit was named to the development team.
