The University of Wyoming has signed contracts to play Missouri, Oregon, Boise State and Weber State in football, Cowboys athletic director Tom Burman announced Monday.

The Cowboys will meet Missouri, Oregon and Boise State in home-and-home series. The series with Weber State also is a two-game contract, but both games (2009 and 2011) will be played in Laramie.

The series with Boise State starts in Laramie in 2010. The series with Missouri begins with a road game for the Cowboys in 2011. The series with Oregon starts with a road game for the Cowboys in 2014.

Missouri plays at Wyoming in 2012. The Cowboys host Oregon in 2015.

Gait, Mammoth await NLL outdoor debut

Gary Gait will play with the Colorado Mammoth when the Denver team hosts a National Lacrosse League Outdoor Showcase on Sept. 1.

Gait, who retired from professional lacrosse two years ago, will play on the Mammoth against a team of NLL all-stars. Also playing in the event will be Gavin Prout, Brian Langtry, Dan Carey, John Grant, Colin Doyle, Brodie Merrill, Taylor Wray, Sean Morris and Kyle Harrison.

The NLL’s outdoor debut will start at 7 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City.

Tickets start at $5 and are on sale.
