LONG KEY, Fla.—Rescuers searched Tuesday for an Aspen, Colo., man after his 20-foot boat was found idling adrift with no one on board, Coast Guard officials said.
Authorities received a report about the unmanned Boston Whaler a few miles north of Long Key on Tuesday morning.
“Everything indicates that he was alone on the boat,” Lt. Michael Bell said.
The search for Christopher Smith, 57, was being conducted by air and sea, Coast Guard officials said.
