FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Chip maker LSI Logic Corp. is laying off 30 people in Fort Collins and cutting 30 jobs elsewhere in Colorado.
The cuts are part of the elimination of 900 positions companywide, or about 13 percent of LSI’s non-production work force.
The cuts in Fort Collins amount to about 10 percent of the work force there, company spokesman Bob Guenther said Friday.
LSI also will cut 30 jobs total at its plants in Colorado Springs and Longmont, Guenther said.
LSI completed its $4 billion acquisition of Agere Systems Inc. in April.
